Taran N. Khan is an award winning journalist and writer. Her work has appeared in publications including Granta, Guernica, LitHub, Al Jazeera, The Caravan and Himal Southasian and she has received fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, Jan Michalski Foundation and Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia. Her first book Shadow City: A Woman Walks Kabul won the Tata Literature Live! First Book Award and the Stanford Dolman Travel Book of the Year Award.
