Salil Tripathi is a writer based in Brooklyn. He is the author of three works of non-fiction (on freedom of expression, travel writing, and the Bangladesh War) and with the artist Shilpa Gupta has co-edited an anthology of poems by imprisoned poets. His next book, about the Gujaratis, will be published in 2024. He is on the board of PEN International.
