Annie Zaidi

India

Annie’s body of work includes reportage, essays, fiction, drama, poetry and graphic storytelling. She won the Nine Dots Prize for innovative thinking in 2019. She is the author of ‘Prelude to a Riot’, ‘Gulab’ and ‘Love Stories # 1 to 14’ and a collection of essays, ‘Known Turf: Bantering with Bandits and Other True Tales’. She is also the co-author of ‘The Good Indian Girl’, and the editor of ‘Unbound: 2000 Years of Indian Women’s Writing’ and ‘Equal Halves’. She also writes scripts for both screen and stage and won The Hindu Playwright Award 2018 for her play, ‘Untitled 1’.
