Who are we and where do we come from? This question could not have been answered convincingly until recently. But recent advances in population genetics involving use of ancient DNA from people who lived thousands of years ago have changed that. The new findings have improved our understanding of prehistory not just in India, but around the world. When seen together with evidence from other disciplines such as archaeology and linguistics, these give us a clear picture of how the Indian population was formed as a result of four ancient migrations.

A talk based on the book, Early Indians: The Story of Our Ancestors and Where They Came From’.

A straight talk by Tony Joseph.
