Once a flourishing religion in Persia, Zoroastrianism, the world’s first monotheistic religion, is today largely unknown except to its followers, comprising mainly the minuscule Parsi community in Mumbai. Mumbai born and bred author Ashwin Sanghi, skilled in depicting ancient lore grippingly to modern readers, has cast this tiny community as protagonists in a sweeping novel, which imagines a dramatic secret from millennia ago held by a chosen Parsi family, being hunted down by modern-day villains from the US to India via the Middle East. In so doing he has not just penned a conspiracy thriller, but also introduced a little known but unique religion and community to his large audience.
Ashwin Sanghi ranks among India’s highest selling authors in English fiction, for which he has won several awards. He has also written two New York Times best-selling crime thrillers with James Patterson. Ashwin co-writes and edits titles in the 13 Steps series on diverse life-related matters.
