The northern part of Karnataka, the capital of the whole of Karnataka for more than a thousand years, had different rulers, cultures, food habits and languages resulting in the amalgamation of culture, language, cuisine and traditions. Above all it has created a distinct dialect.
The author portrays stories of people with the typical traits of this land; to her, each character is a gem, and with her stories she knits them into a string of pearls.
