Number 37, a missing tooth, a quest for youth, a tossed cricket, steamed romances and fried stewardesses. (Served Hot). In this digitized dramatic reading of Roland Schimmelpfennig’s ‘The Golden Dragon’. A local Thai/Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant becomes a window to a modern, global world. Seemingly unrelated individuals are all connected to one another through this tiny restaurant.

The Golden Dragon is a funny and theatrical fable of modern life and migration, whisking you from your local takeaway to East Asia and back, revealing what really goes into that bowl of spicy soup. Are you hungry yet?

Following the reading, the playwright Roland Schimmelpfennig will be in conversation with Pragya Tiwari.
